This coverage is for individuals who transport horses or cattle for profit. It will cover your legal liability for the animals against death and injuries rendering death immediately necessary when caused by fire, explosion, collision or overturn of the transporting vehicle. This policy also covers against theft, excluding escape or mysterious disappearance. This liability policy provides for payment of legal defense in addition to the policy limits. Coverage limits apply per vehicle/per occurrence. A $1,000 deductible will apply in the event of a claim. Major exclusions to this policy are earthquake, governmental action, nuclear hazard, and war and military action. The territory that is covered by this Cargo Legal Liability include the 48 contiguous United States, District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico.

This policy is not intended for equine professionals (involved in boarding, breeding, training, instruction, etc.) who are hauling horses for their clients to vets, horse shows, etc. We can write this incidental transit coverage under a Care, Custody & Control policy with a transportation extension. Transport businesses grossing over $350,000 annually must be submitted for approval.
